    Looks like a plate from the 90’s. Incorporate the fruit or use it as garnish. Bad choice of plate

    Let’s actually consider the components of this dish.

    You have scallops, sure they look good.

    But then you have orange slices (why?) a potato puree (ok sure makes sense) and a weird broth garnished with nori strips?

    What was the conceptualization here?

    You made a potato puree and poured what I presume to be a hot/warm liquid around it and then orange slices that look almost bigger than the scallops. And what is the nori’s purpose to this dish other than to fill gaps?

    It really just doesn’t make any sense to me at all.

    Look up “contrived” in the dictionary for your plating. Nicely seared scallops but you seared the wrong side on 2 of them.
