  1. Crying Tiger Steak, Sticky rice (used jasmine rice), spicy cucumber salad, napa cabbage, and nam jim jaew! First time making this and it was delicious. The sauce was a flavor bomb.

    Steaks were NY strip (left) and denver steak (right) from a local butcher. I marinated them about 30 minutes before cooking on the cast iron at the highest heat on my gas stove with beef tallow. Flipping until I got the crust desired stopping at ~100 deg, then finished in oven at ~500 degrees until ~125.

    What a balanced savory meal. That steak looks amazing! Too bad you didn’t have any “new” rice 🍚 to go with it.
