I have made syrniki based on a Ukrainian recipe. Quite tasty and easy but you need a good cottage cheese.
The tastiest sauce to go together with it is sea buckthorn: a bit sour to match the sweetness of the syrniki

I had these in Egypt. I had no idea they were Russian. Lovely.

Is it your pan or was it stolen abroad?

I used to make these when I was studying. Very tasty, very filling. I just eyeballed the ingredients so sometimes it became more of a pancake.
