    Very unique plate up. I agree could use more color. Is the apple baked into a biscuit?

    I can enjoy monochromatic platings- if they are presented on a monochromatic dish.

    This would look much nicer on a small round plate with an upturned lip and a ring of glaze. But the cool toned black plate isn’t vibing. Obviously not going to go out and buy a ton of new plates just for one dish- but that’s my comment.

    I think it looks beautiful, and the structural elements are well executed and look balanced.
